Milan, 29 July 2024 – In the capacity market auction launched by Terna last 25th and 26th of July in relation to the 2025 delivery period, the A2A Group was awarded 4.6 GW at a price of 45,000 €/MW/year (annual contract) for the entire existing capacity portfolio offered, with a mix of technologies from gas-fired plants to RES power plants, supporting the energy transition. The Group was also awarded 500 MW at a price of 4,788 €/MW/year (annual contract) in relation to foreign capacity.
The outcome of this auction is more than €60 million higher than what was assumed in the 2024-2035 Strategic Plan, for delivery in 2025.
