The concession has a total value of approximately 1.4 Bln€
Growth in the value of the RAB of 180 M€
Milan, September 7, 2020 – The Council of State has upheld the appeals lodged in February 2020 by Unareti and Milan City Council against the judgement given by the Lombardy regional administrative court last December 5, which had resulted in the cancellation of the award to Unareti of the tender for the concession of the natural gas distribution service in territorial area “Milan 1 - Cities and System of Milan”.
The Council of State has on the one hand, rejected the legal and administrative elements that had led the regional administrative court to exclude Unareti (and also overcome the exclusion of the tenderer 2i Rete Gas) from the procedure and on the other, confirmed the assessments performed by the tender commission when making the award.
In September 2018, Unareti had, in fact, been awarded the tender with a total score of 98.12 points out of 100.
The MI1 ATEM consists of a total of over 830,000 PdR (redelivery points) active in the Municipalities of Milan, Baranzate, Bollate, Cinisello Balsamo, Corsico, Novate Milanese and Sesto San Giovanni.
The concession, which lasts 12 years, has a total value of approximately 1.4 Bln€.
Unareti expects to invest an approximate total of 650 M€ over the period of the plan, which will lead to growth in the value of the owned RAB relative to the ATEM of Milan 1 (currently approximately 660M €) of around 180 M€.
