Climate change is severely impacting our country. 2022 was the year in which drought had the most obvious effect on our lives and we faced one of the most significant water crises of the last 25 years. Clear signs can also be seen in the +1.3°C increase in average temperatures in major cities and urban settings, with a simultaneous decrease in precipitation.
At A2A, we want to lead the way in the management and conservation of natural resources and their relationship to human well-being. Therefore, in line with the forthcoming Water Days in Valtellina and Valchiavenna and the recent podcasts “Non c’è vita senza acqua” (No Life Without Water), we have created a documentary on water, in collaboration with Will Media, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of taking action to protect this resource and the initiatives we can all take.
In a journey through the sectors most affected by the scarcity or even total absence of this resource, Mattia Battagion, sustainability expert at Will Media, joined by contributions from our CEO Renato Mazzoncini, numerous experts and the writer, actor and playwright Marco Paolini, recounts in a short documentary of around 20 minutes how the water cycle works on our planet, analysing the impact of drought and offering an unprecedented perspective on the topic of water, its importance, critical issues, and solutions that can be implemented for a more efficient, resilient and circular system.
