General information

Elisabetta Pistis was born on 10 November 1978. After graduating in Law, she completed a masters degree in the organization and functioning of public authorities at the ‘La Sapienza’ University of Rome. Since 2004, she has been a member of the Bar Association and, since 2006, a court of cassation lawyer. 

Working experience

She has been working as a lawyer in the sector of administrative and regulatory law since 2004.
She was a partner at the Guarino legal practice, founded by Prof. Giuseppe Guarino, from 2010 to 2019.
Since 2019, she has been a partner at the Orsingher Ortu legal practice, with offices in Milan and Rome, where she is responsible for the administrative and regulatory law department

  • Over the years, she has collaborated with university chairs of Professors Beniamino Caravita di Toritto, Sabino Cassese, Pietro Ciarlo, Gianmario Demuro and Francesco Pigliaru.
  • She has written articles for specialist journals on the subjects of administrative law, tenders, regulatory issues.
  • She is a member of NEDcommunity (the Italian association of non-executive and independent directors).
     

Education

She graduated with distinction in 2001, presenting a thesis on the relationship between administrative acts and EU regulations.
In 2002 he attended the Postgraduate School for the Legal Professions at the University of Cagliari, where he obtained the corresponding postgraduate diploma. In 2003 he was awarded a second-level Master’s Degree in Organisation and Functioning of Public Administration at the Sapienza University of Rome, graduating with full marks (110/110 cum laude). On that occasion, he defended a thesis entitled “The Influence of International Regulation on Domestic Administrative Law: Procedural Standards under GATS.”
Over the years he has undertaken several advanced training courses in the field of corporate governance. In 2022 he completed the advanced university programme “Board Academy” at Luiss Business School, delivered in collaboration with Assogestioni, providing specialised training for members of Boards of Directors, with particular focus on listed companies. In 2025 he completed the advanced executive programme “Cyber for Directors – Cybersecurity as a Board Competence”, promoted by NED-Community, dedicated to Directors, Statutory Auditors and Executives in the field of cybersecurity.
