A2A publishes the new Green Bond Allocation Report for 2022 issuances

A2A has published the new Green Bond Allocation Report on the allocation of the proceeds of the two Green Bonds issued in 2022 for a total amount of €1.25 billion. The proceeds collected through the issuances of Green Bonds were used to finance the Eligible Green Projects, strategic circular economy and energy transition projects, envisaged in the Group's Sustainable Finance Framework.

In particular, these two Green Bonds have been used to finance projects in the following categories:

  • Renewable energy: €485 million;
  • Electricity networks: €191 million;
  • Pollution prevention and control: €110 million;
  • Energy efficiency: €26 million.

All mentioned projects are 100% aligned with the EU Taxonomy of sustainable activities.

In line with the recommendations of the guidelines drawn up by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), the Allocation Report provides details on the allocation, the description of the projects financed and information on the associated environmental impacts, among which the main ones are: CO2 emissions avoided, renewable energy produced and additional installed capacity of renewables and the electricity network. In addition, details of the analysis of alignment with EU Taxonomy criteria are included.

The report has been verified by a qualified third-party provider and the verifier's report is attached to the report.

This Green Bond Allocation Report is the third published by the Group. All reports are available in the "Debt and Rating" section.
