Your Future at A2A

We are looking for young people who want to help us accelerate the journey towards a sustainable future for both the Country and the Planet.

Whether you are completing your studies at secondary school, attending an IFTS or ITS programme, studying at university or about to complete a postgraduate master’s degree, our Life Company offers the ideal environment to take your first steps into the world of work.

At A2A, we actively support the entry of people at the beginning of their careers: every year, more than 100 young talented people join our teams, working alongside experienced professionals across our business areas and growing through the support of senior colleagues.

Our people come from a wide range of educational backgrounds, although the most common recruitment profiles are linked to the following qualifications.

Technical Diploma

With this type of qualification (specialising in mechanical, electrical or thermal engineering), you could join our operational teams involved in the management and maintenance of plants, infrastructure and distribution networks.

STEM Degree

Graduates in STEM subjects may find opportunities in areas such as plant and network engineering, the management and monitoring of energy infrastructure and HSE units, maintenance coordination, project management and business transformation.

Degree in Economics or Management

With this type of background, you may be suited to opportunities within our Digital & Innovation, Project Management, Portfolio Management, Administration, Finance and Control functions.

Our Business Units require a variety of roles depending on the sector and the skills required.

Whatever your background, at A2A you will have the opportunity to learn and make a tangible contribution to the energy transition, gaining direct experience of the services and initiatives driving change towards a more sustainable future in the territories where we operate.

Our Opportunities for You

If You Are Still Studying

If you are still studying, A2A offers a range of opportunities to help you enter the world of work. We provide tailored pathways both for secondary school students and for young talents undertaking university studies.

School-to-Work Learning Pathways (FSL)

We work closely with schools in the areas where we operate. Through FSL (School-to-Work Learning) programmes, we offer secondary school and technical institute students internship opportunities designed to support their educational pathways.

If you would like to complete your FSL placement within one of our companies, we invite you to submit your application.

Curricular Internships

Are you studying at university? We can support you during your academic journey by offering curricular internships, which may also contribute towards the preparation of your dissertation or final thesis.

International Talent Hub

If you are an international student enrolled at an Italian university and are looking for an internship opportunity, we have programmes designed for you. As an Italian company, knowledge of the Italian language is generally required. However, within selected teams where this pathway is feasible, we offer dedicated Italian language courses to support you while you gain practical work experience - because talent knows no borders!

If You Have Already Completed Your Studies

We have replaced extracurricular internships as a training pathway for graduates seeking their first professional experience with fully-fledged employment contracts. We believe that even people without previous experience should be given the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to become professionals with solid competencies that add value to the company.

  • We recognise that academic pathways do not always fully align with business needs, and we understand that new recruits joining a professional team for the first time must not only acquire role-specific skills, but also learn how to work with company processes, tools and systems.

You will therefore be supported by a tutor throughout your journey, receiving the training needed to carry out your activities with increasing autonomy. You will also receive interim feedback before the final review at the end of your contract. While a permanent role at the end of the contract cannot always be guaranteed, as these contracts are primarily training-oriented, we are committed to supporting your professional future both within and beyond A2A.

  • In many cases, you may also find the right opportunity among our permanent positions. If, during your studies, you completed internships, worked on research projects relevant to our sectors or already gained some initial professional experience, you may meet the requirements for some of our vacancies. You can explore opportunities by searching our job listings using keywords related to your field of study.
